Every other glove in this capsule runs three or four foam layers. The Alka runs five, and Raja built the rest of the glove around keeping that much padding from going stiff — the leather is cut to flex through the knuckle line so the hand still closes properly under it. The trade is the obvious one: this is the pair you want when someone is hitting you back, and more glove than you need for a quiet bag round.
