The padding was redesigned to run lighter with a more consistent weight glove-to-glove, so a pair feels the same in round five as it did in round one. The thumb carries no stitching across it, and the hand is joined to the cuff with flat stitching — both changes reduce the hard edges your hand meets when you close a fist.
